Mr. Edward Leak, Jr. is the Associate Agent/Manager of Britt Insurance Agency’s Wadesboro, NC office. Ed is the winner of the “Blind Pig Award” for 2008. The award’s name is a humorous take on the old saying that even a blind pig can find a nut once in a while. While approached with humor, this trophy recognizes that new sales are the life blood of our Agency and is awarded annually to our Agency sales leader.

Britt Scholarship winners Vounder Funderburk and Haley Pendleton accept certificates from South Piedmont Community College President John McKay. Both are graduates of Forest Hills High School, a requirement to win the scholarship. Funderburk, is enrolled in the Human Services program at SPCC. Pendleton is enrolled in the computer information technology and business administration programs at SPCC.

Congratulations too, to our own Monica Harrington, winner of the SPCC Braswell Ambassadors Scholarship. Monica is a former intern at Britt Insurance and now works part-time in our Wadesboro Office while continuing her college studies.
